Concerning the recent article in the Cary News, Feb.1, "Future of Highcroft Drive up in air":

I have lived in a cul-de-sac off Highcroft Drive for seven years. I was aware many years ago that Highcroft Drive would be extended northward from Green Hope School Road towards Morrisville Parkway, but (I was) never aware of plans to extend southward. To go south, an expensive bridge would have to be built, for starters.

To make this a through-road is ludicrous. Now it is a windy, narrow road clogged in many places by residents parking their cars in the street in front of their homes leaving only room for one car to pass.

Highcroft Elementary School is a year-round school located on Highcroft Drive with many young children crossing the road.

I think it would be a good idea for the council members to make a site visit before deciding on this matter.
