BASKETBALL

APEX ADULT

CARY SENIOR BABE RUTH

Games are scheduled for June in Cary and surrounding communities. Ages 17-18. Age determined as of April 30. Pre-registration for tryouts is required and the participant must attend one of the sessions scheduled for May 21 and May 23. Fees are $44 for residents and $69 for non-residents. Registration is open for residents and for non-residents returning to the same age division, by mail only. Registration for non-residents begins Monday, Feb. 13. Ages 5-18. Practices begin the week of March 19. Games will begin the week of April 16. Participants will receive a team jersey, hat and socks. Parents need to provide a glove, pants and cleats. All participants must be five by May 1 and cannot turn 18 prior to May 2.

SOCCER

APEX SPRING YOUTH

All leagues are coed and are for ages 5-14. Ages determined as of June 30. Practices will be held on weeknights with weekend games.

The season will begin in March. Games will be played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Teams will receive a 10-game regular season and a single elimination tournament. A preseason meeting will be at 6 p.m. March 8 at the Hunt Recreation Center. Participants must be 18 years old by the start date of the league.

SOFTBALL

APEX ADULT

There will be Spring softball leagues in Men's B, C, D, and Church (American, National, and International) Divisions. Leagues are limited to six teams. Registration ends at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9. VOLLEYBALL

FUQUAY-VARINA JUNIOR LEAGUE

The Parks and Recreation Department has added a 10-and-younger intermediate team and will be offering 12- and 14-under teams. Registration for Spring Junior team tennis is under way at the community center. The season begins March 9. For information, call 919-552-1430.
