I just read the article about the large neon marquee being considered in Cary.

I'm saddened by anyone even having the thought.

All of these years (neon signage) was prohibited, and now because the town wants to increase their marketing for the performing arts space, they would change the ordinance to suit their need.

Of course, then all businesses will be allowed to do the same. Hasn't our town changed enough?

What is our Town Council thinking? We citizens of Cary are intelligent enough to find places without a huge sign lighting the path.

I'm all for breathing life into the downtown area. I love the idea and truly hope it works, but a neon sign?

I'm begging our Town Council to rethink this!
