I was so happy to see Cary Police Officer Tony Menendez receive Employee of the Year, 2011. I have the honor of knowing Tony personally and not only was everything true in the article The Cary News wrote about him, but in fact, some years ago Tony was actually responsible for saving my life.

At a time when there are some law enforcement officers out there as bad as the criminals they're hired to apprehend, Tony Menendez exemplifies what a real police officer should be. He is a real role model for kids who might want to consider law enforcement as a career, but he also seems to live the role to actually protect and serve.
