TASTE OF SHABBAT

The Chabad of Cary Jewish Women's Circle hosts "A Taste of Shabbat" from 7 to 9 p.m. Discover why Judaism places such emphasis on traditional Shabbat dishes. Holly Springs playwright Cornelia McDonald will debut her second play, "Calling To the Village" at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Stars Theater and Arts Center, Inc., 123 East Vance St., Fuquay-Varina. The play is a collection of true stories from women ages 15 to 85, performed as dramatic readings with songs. Tickets are $15.
