CONCERTS

The Saint Francis United Methodist Church brass band will perform a concert of not-so-often-heard Christmas carols immediately following the 11 a.m. service Sunday, Dec. 18. For details, call 919-362-1666.

The Lighthouse Gospel Music Association will hold a southern gospel concert featuring the PromisLand Quartet at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at the Lighthouse Convention Center, 326 Tryon Road, Raleigh. SERVICES

During the entire month of December and the first week in January, Shalom Peniel Ministries will hold its normal Friday night service from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Reedy Creek Baptist Church, 1524 N. Harrison Ave., Cary.

STUDY GROUPS

Saint Francis United Methodist Church will hold study groups for the Advent season through Dec. 21 at 2965 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary. For details, call 919-362-1666.

A brown bag dinner and study of "The Journey" by Adam Hamilton will be held at 5:45 p.m. Mondays.

A breakfast study group at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesdays will discuss the book, "Behold! Cultivating Attentiveness in the Season of Advent" by Pamela Hawkins.

A brown bag lunch and study of "Christmas is Not Your Birthday: Experience the Joy of Living and Giving Like Jesus" by Mike Slaughter will be noon Wednesdays.

Westwood Baptist Church will hold a study group, "The Journey: Walking the Road to Bethlehem" at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday through Dec. 24 at 200 Westhigh St., Cary.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Westwood Baptist Church will hold two GriefShare classes from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning Jan. 3 or from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sundays beginning Jan. 8 at 200 Westhigh St., Cary. Cost for each class is $20. Each class lasts for 13 weeks. For information, call 919-469-9393.
