(As) a world history teacher at Green Hope High School, I give my students (the assignment) to interview a World War II veteran or somebody from the home front who was at least a teenager during that time period - from 1939 to 1945.

I have been giving this assignment for the last 18 years. But the members of the Greatest Generation are dying at a high monthly rate.

I was hoping ... that I might acquire names and phone numbers (of people willing to be interviewed) for my students.

My students treat their people with the greatest respect, and the results of the interview are quite awesome.

I can be reached by email at skoller@wcpss.net or by mail 1100 Eastleigh Court, Apex, NC 27502.
