CHRISTMAS EVENT

CHRISTMAS STORE

New Horizons Fellowship will hold a Christmas store Dec. 9 and 10 for needy families at 820 East Williams St., Apex. To donate to the store, pick up a tree tag from the lobby at New Horizons Fellowship, purchase a gift and bring it back to the toy corral. The deadline to donate to the store is Sunday, Dec. 4. Families are referred by Western Wake Crisis Ministry, Dorcas Ministries, the Fuquay-Varina Emergency Food Pantry and the Holly Springs Food Cupboard. CONCERTS

Good Shepherd United Church of Christ will hold a concert by Vaughan Penn at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at 1050 N.W. Maynard Road, Cary. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Visit www.gsucc.org.

The Cary Community Choir is seeking singers for its 41st annual Messiah performance at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Westwood Baptist Church, 200 Westhigh St., Cary. Singers are asked to attend at least two rehearsals. Rehearsals will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, and 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.

SERVICE

During the entire month of December and the first week in January, Shalom Peniel Ministries will hold its normal Friday night service from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Reedy Creek Baptist Church, 1524 N. Harrison Ave., Cary.
