Cary Franklin-Sloane Post 7383 of the VFW thanks you for publishing in the Veterans Day events the ceremonial retirement of unserviceable U.S. flags. We received many more flags than could be incinerated in one day. They will all be properly incinerated at later dates.

Post 7383 is happy to provide the community the means for the proper disposal of old, unserviceable United States flags.

Old flags can always be dropped off at the Post at 522 Reedy Creek Road, Cary, any afternoon after 1 p.m.

Curtis M. Morris
