CARY - Firefighters battled a house fire that left one man slightly injured early this afternoon at the MacGregor Downs subdivision, authorities reported.

The two-alarm fire was reported at 12:01 p.m. at 509 Annadale Drive, according to a dispatcher the Cary emergency communications center.

The 2-story home suffered heavy damage, while a man who was at home at the time was treated at the scene, the dispatcher reported.

Cary and Wake County firefighters who arrived at the home had the blaze under control just before 1 p.m., the dispatcher reported.
