Holly Springs will hold its annual HollyFest from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Womble Park. The town will join with churches, civic organizations and businesses for the community celebration. Activities and entertainment will be going on throughout the day.

The HollyFest 5K, 1-Mile Fun Run and Tot Trot will be 9 a.m. Registration is $35 until Friday, Oct. 28. Same-day registration will be 7:15-8:30 a.m. and cost $40. Runners will meet at 1201 Grigsby Ave.

A pumpkin-carving contest open to all ages will be on display until 2:30 p.m. Drop off pumpkins at the registration table near the band shell and judges will vote for their favorite.

The Route 55 Jazz Orchestra and other musical acts will perform. Local nonprofit groups will have booths and the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce will hold a business expo. There will be a Kids Corner with Kids Zone inflatables and rides, a costume parade, Robinson's Racing Pigs, the annual Cornhole Cup and food.
