As part of the fall contest series, SK8-Cary will hold a BMX contest beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at 2040 N.W. Maynard Road.

There will be jam sessions, runs and other competitions for beginners, intermediates and experts.

Professional BMX riders Leigh Ramsdell, Brad Cecor, Darren Bouldin, Marlin Brown, Zack Roberts, Dan Foley, Andrew Bryan, Lil NEHI and Rick Scott are expected to enter the contest. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners in the professional category; registration is $40.

Other categories from beginner to advanced will also be featured in the contest. Merchandise prizes will be awarded to winners in these categories, as well as a Woodward Scholarship, courtesy of Vitaminwater, to the winner of Best Trick.

Registration for beginner and Best Trick categories is $15; intermediate and advanced is $20.

Each competitor must have a valid waiver on file before registering.
