APEX HIGH SCHOOL

The 11th annual BBQ and Tailgate Party sponsored by the Apex Cougar Club will be Friday, Oct. 7. Plates will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (drive-through or takeout only) in front of Apex High School and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. (eat-in or takeout) in the school parking lot. Cost of $9 per plate includes barbecue and chicken, slaw, potatoes, green beans, corn sticks and hush puppies. All proceeds support Apex High School Athletics. GREEN HOPE HIGH SCHOOL

Due to a new policy on collecting money for the PSAT, Green Hope High School will collect the $14 fee from 7 to 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12. Students should bring cash in the exact amount or write a check for the exact amount. Checks should be made out to Green Hope High School.

Green Hope High School's Athletic Booster Club will hold its third annual tailgate dinner from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, after the Green Hope Varsity Football game vs. Lee County. THE NEW SCHOOL MONTESSORI CENTER

The New School Montessori Center will hold its first fall festival, By the Light of the Moon, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at 5617 Sunset Lake Road, Holly Springs. It will feature activity booths, prizes, rides, a magic show, raffle and music and Danny's Bar-B-Que plates for $7.
