Save A Life will hold its second annual 5K Walk/Run for Suicide Prevention at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary. Onsite registration begins at 12:30 p.m.

Save A Life is a nonprofit organization sponsored by Green Hope High School's PTSA. It aims to raise awareness about the problem of teen suicide, educate the community about solutions and remove barriers that separate at-risk teens from help.

Save A Life also provides information to counseling professionals and financial assistance to at-risk families.

After the walk/run, a closing program will begin at 3:30 p.m. Registration for the 5K walk/run is $25 per person.

For information, visit www.helpingsavealife.com.
