Free events included a farmers market, fashion show and musicians performing on an outdoor stage.

The event lasted throughout the night, with more than a dozen groups performing at restaurants along Salem Street and at the Halle Cultural Arts Center. More than 1,500 people attended.

"Lots of people were having a great time," said Blaine East, with the Apex Downtown Business Association, the event's primary sponsor.
