The first Apex Jazz Festival will be held from 2 p.m. to midnight in downtown Apex on Saturday.

There will be 10 indoor venues and one outdoor stage holding a variety of jazz performances.

Organized by the Apex Downtown Business Association, the Apex Jazz Festival will have multiple venues hosting music in close proximity to one another.

Headlining acts will perform at the Halle Cultural Arts Center and "pub bands" will perform in the restaurants and eateries along Salem Street.

An additional outdoor stage set up in the Apex Chamber of Commerce lot will have a wider variety of music from open mic performers, student rock bands from Music & Rock School, and Peak City Sound, the Apex community band.

The farmers market, a sidewalk sale and fashion show will also be held during the music festival.

Outdoor performances will be free to the public, while headlining performances and pub bands will require a wristband.
