Kohl's unveils Cary storeKohl's is unveiling its remodeled Cary Crossing store on Wednesday.
The store has been open during the renovation, but this is the first chance for shoppers to see the full scope of the changes. The chain has updated the fitting rooms, checkout stations and customer service areas. and it redesigned several departments.
The Wisconsin-based chain is remodeling 100 stores across the country this year - an 18 percent increase over last year. The move appears to be paying off; Kohl's has seen net income rise in three straight quarters.
The store is at 2350 Walnut St., across from Crossroads Shopping Center.
Pilates instructor competes nationally Staff reports Cary pilates instructor Jamie Sharpe of Triangle Pilates and Cary Yoga Center has reached the Top 10 in a nationwide competition for a chance to be the next Pilates Anytime instructor.
Sharpe was selected to compete against 74 other contestants from around the nation. More than 15,000 people voted, advancing Sharpe to the finalist round.
Pilates Anytime, an online Pilates studio, will let members and guests vote for the winner.

Apex man named vice president at United Way Staff reports Richard Padlo of Apex has joined United Way of the Greater Triangle in the newly added position of vice president of principal gifts.He is responsible for providing strategic direction and day-to-day management of the United Way's principal giving program of gifts of $10,000 or more.Padlo was most recently the executive director of SOFTLY International.
He grew up in Chicago and had an extensive career with the United States Air Force Academy and the Air Force. Padlo is also the author of "The Transition Continuum."
