APEX HIGH SCHOOL

The Apex High School class of 1986 will hold its 25-year reunion at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at Kildaire Farms Clubhouse, 162 Pebble Creek Drive, Cary. A home football game will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23.

ATHENS DRIVE HIGH SCHOOL

Athens Drive printing and graphics teacher Elizabeth Phelps and the entire 2010-11 yearbook staff won a number of recent awards, including a Gallery of Excellence award from Wallsworth Publishing Co.

In addition, the team won a number of honors from the N.C. Scholastic Association:

Second Place, theme design, school of distinction

Honorable Mention, cover design

First place, sports photography for large schools, Corey Jenkins

Third place, theme spreads for large schools, Kate Leidheiser

HOPEWELL ACADEMY

Signups and practice for fall soccer have begun. Call coach McGroarty or coach Kimball for information about practice days and times.

Hopewell Academy's annual family picnic, sponsored by the Hopewell Academy Parent Teacher Organization, will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hopewell Academy's new building located at 101 Preston Executive Drive.

"Meet the Teacher" night will immediately follow the picnic.
