Cary

Police are investigating an embezzlement case involving the theft of hydrocodone at Kerr Drugs located at 1219 Buck Jones Road in Cary. The case was reported July 26.

Break-ins were reported recently on the 500 block of Keisler Drive; the 200 block of New Waverly Place; the 300 block of Bargate Drive; and the 100 block of Springset Drive.

Unforced burglaries were reported on the 2300 block of Carramore Avenue; the 100 block of Bowcastle Court; and 900 block of North Harrison Avenue.

Apex

A vehicle was forcefully entered on Vision Drive by breaking a window before 3:06 p.m. July 15. A GPS unit was taken.

An unsecured vehicle was entered at Shackleton Road and Interior Court before 2 a.m. July 18.

A vehicle was entered on Reunion Park Drive before 5:02 a.m. July 20. A car stereo faceplate was taken.

Seven gold rings were taken from a home on Avonlea Court before 2:07 p.m. July 11.

Fuquay-Varina

Various hand tools and scrap aluminum were taken from the bed of a truck in the parking lot of Quality Equipment at 2225 N. Main St. between 4:30 p.m. July 15 and 4:45 p.m. July 18.

Two unsecured vehicles were entered on Cameronwood Drive and Mossy Oak Drive between 6:30 p.m. July 19 and 7:08 a.m. July 20. A GPS unit was taken.

The tires and rims were taken from two vehicles at John Heister Chevrolet at 3100 N. Main St. and Haddock Auto Body at 3010 N. Main St. between 7 p.m. July 19 and 7:40 a.m. July 20.

Three unsecured vehicles were entered on Nakina Drive and Mossy Oak Drive between 4:30 p.m. July 19 and 5:09 a.m. July 21. A Ruger .380 LCP pistol, Spartan Dashtaq tuner, Crimson LG-431 laser grip, frozen pizza, 36 soft drinks, a case of fruit drinks, wallet, first aid kit and $2 were taken.

A trailer was removed from a vehicle at 916 S. Main St. between 9:45 p.m. and 10:49 p.m. July 21. The trailer contained a riding lawn mower, push lawn mower and weed eater, which were also taken.

Unsecured newspaper boxes were taken from a shopping center at 1300 N. Main St. between 4 p.m. July 23 and 6:15 a.m. July 24.

A resident of Old Honey Cut Road reported being the victim of financial card fraud between 8:11 p.m. July 23 and 10 a.m. July 24. Someone fraudulently used the victim's debit card at a convenience store at 100 Broad St.

An unsecured vehicle was entered on Stewart Street between 2 p.m. and 3:14 p.m. June 8. $20 was taken.

A brick was thrown through the window of a vehicle on McLaurin Lane about 12:30 a.m. May 28.

An unsecured vehicle was entered on Judd Parkway at about 4:24 p.m. April 30. $25 was taken.

The back door of a home on North West Street was pried open between 12 p.m. April 29 and 4:30 p.m. April 30. The door was damaged, but nothing was taken.

A financial card belonging to a Lillington resident was used to make fraudulent cash withdrawal of $100 at the Sheetz convenience store at 1655 N. Main St. between 5 a.m. and 1 p.m. April 20.

Two unsecured vehicles were entered on Oldwyck Drive between 8 p.m. and 1:12 a.m. April 10. Nothing was taken.

An unsecured vehicle and garage were entered on Beavis Marks Drive between 9:30 p.m. April 9 and 7:30 a.m. April 10. A GPS unit and bottle of wine were taken.

Holly Springs

Jewelry and a checkbook were reported stolen from a home on Gooseberry Drive between 12 a.m. June 8 and 12 p.m. July 20.

Copper coils from a HVAC unit beneath a home on Avent Ferry Road were taken between 3 p.m. July 19 and 2:18 p.m. July 20. The suspect gained access through an exterior crawl space door.

A home on Stinson Avenue was entered between 5:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. July 23. A television and iPod were taken.

A home on Elm Crest Drive was entered through a rear door between 12 p.m. May 15 and 7:25 p.m. July 23. A computer, printer, keyboard and monitor were taken.

A home on Katha Drive was forcibly entered through a window between 8 p.m. and 8:19 p.m. July 16.

A vehicle was entered by unknown means on Cline Falls Drive between 9 p.m. July 18 and 7:20 a.m. July 19. A GPS unit was taken.

An unsecured vehicle was entered on Holly Meadow Drive between 3:30 p.m. July 18 and 8 a.m. July 19. A wallet containing identification and credit cards was taken. The cards were used to make fraudulent purchases.

A debit card was used to make unauthorized cash withdrawals from an account at Wachovia bank at 5209 Sunset Lake Road between 11:30 p.m. July 12 and 12 p.m. July 15.

Two unsecured vehicles were entered on Gable Ridge Lane between 11 p.m. June 30 and 8 a.m. July 1. Two GPS units were taken.
