Dryer Music Studio will hold its annual Flute Day from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at 1210 SE Maynard Road, Suite 102 in Cary.

Beginners with no experience can try the flute at 2 p.m.

A mini recital featuring a group of current students runs from 2:30 to 2:45 p.m.

Beginners through advanced players will participate in workshops from 2:45 to 5 p.m.

Kellis Dryer, a piano instructor at Dryer Music Studio, will be assisting flute instructor Katherine Palmer in a rhythm workshop.

Participants will also play solo and duet pieces.

There will be a flute choir, during which all participants will play pieces written for four or more flute players. Cost is $8.

Walk-ins are welcome.
