A Morrisville man has been arrested on a charge of seriously harming his 13-month-old son, according to an arrest warrant.

Authorities accuse Jose Angel Soto, 31, of 125 Green Drive, of injuring his son in mid-July. The child suffered a fractured rib, bleeding in an eye, a fractured arm, cuts and bruises, and a brain injury that caused seizures, according to an arrest warrant.

Soto was charged with child abuse inflicting serious physical injury and was being held at the Wake County jail under a $200,000 bond. He could be released on the condition that he not try to communicate with the child or go to the child's home.
