Prevent Blindness North Carolina will hold its 20th annual Prevent Blindness Mixed Doubles Tennis Classic Aug. 4-7 at MacGregor Downs Country Club, 430 Saint Andrews Lane in Cary.
Players and fans from area tennis clubs will participate in a weekend of mixed doubles tennis in support of the mission of Prevent Blindness North Carolina - to prevent blindness, preserve and restore sight, and promote good vision for all North Carolinians.
This year's honoree is Bobby Heald. Heald is the tennis pro at MacGregor Downs and an advocate of Prevent Blindness North Carolina. On Aug. 4, a kickoff Patron Party will feature a dinner, an exhibition match, and a raffle for prizes. Proceeds from the four-day event will be used to benefit the programs and services of Prevent Blindness North Carolina.
