MORRISVILLE - Drivers who use Morrisville Parkway to turn south onto Crabtree Crossing Parkway to get to the Kelton II subdivision, or as a shortcut to get to Cary Parkway, will soon have to take an alternate route.

Starting July 25, the section of Crabtree Crossing Parkway that intersects the south side of Morrisville Parkway will be temporarily closed. Work is expected to take place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The re-opening is scheduled for Aug. 5.

The closure is needed so that for crews can install a sewer line for the Park West development and future growth on that side of town, said Tony Chiotakis, director of community and emergency services.

Motorists traveling north on Crabtree Crossing from Cary Parkway will not be able to access Morrisville Parkway.

The northern portion of Crabtree Crossing and Morrisville Parkway will not be affected by the project.
