Thirty-five of North Carolina's sharpest high school mathematics students recently competed in the 36th Annual American Regions Mathematics League Meet in Athens, Ga. There were 106 teams representing 40 states, as well as international teams from Singapore, China, and Macau, participating in this year's competition.Several Cary students represented North Carolina, including Jeffrey An, Green Hope High School; Michael An, Davis Drive Middle School; Justin Luo, Tejas Sundaresan and Amitoj Sin, W.G. Enloe High School; Allen Yang and Jeffrey Dudek, Cary Academy; and Franklin Chen, Ligon Middle School. In addition, one of the team's coaches was John Noland, a member of the faculty at Cary Academy.
The Apex High School Band is holding registration for its 2011-2012 season, as well as the dance team and color guard, through the band website at

Panther Creek High School will host a football camp July 23. The camp is open for prospects in grades 3-8, including rising 9th graders. The camp will feature Panther Creek's coaches and players. Registration fee is $60. For information, visit
