Police issued arrest warrants for Tevin Lemont Cofield, 16, of 6015 Colonial Drive and Tyfean Coritez Woods, 19, of 504 Maple Lane, both of Raleigh, in connection to a July 7 assault with an axe. According to police reports, two men were arguing about 7 p.m. when a chair broke a window on Kwame Tafirenyika's house at 113 Templeton St. in Cary. Tafirenyika grabbed a knife to confront the men, but one of them chased her with an axe, police reports state. Authorities suspect Cofield was the axe wielder. He faces a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, reports state. Woods is wanted for an injury to real property charge.

Authorities are looking for a man they believe committed armed robberies at two Cary businesses July 9. According to police reports, a white male, aged 30 to 35 who is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 190 pounds, flashed a handgun at the Extended Stay America at 1500 Regency Parkway at about noon before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. He is also suspected of robbing the CVS Pharmacy at 2995 Kildaire Farm Road at 6:45 pm. that night. In both instances, he was wearing a black baseball cap and black Nike golf shirt and drove away in an early 1990s black vehicle, reports state. Cary Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information and ask residents to call 919-226-2746.

Police arrested a 17-year-old woman July 6 on prostitution charges. Authorities say Crystal Marie Wildgrube of Carbondale, Ill., was the subject of an undercover operation at 104 Factory Shops Road in Morrisville. She faces a charge of promotion of the prostitution of a minor. Police refused to disclose further details.

Police responded to break-ins between July 5 and Monday on the 1300 block of Wicklow Court and the 1000 block of Randolph Court.
