Local libraries will hold events to celebrate the release of the latest Harry Potter film this week:

The Eva Perry Regional Library, 2100 Shepherd's Vineyard Drive in Apex, will hold a "Wizard Rock Concert" for Harry Potter fans from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Whomping Willows, Lauren Fairweather, Justin Finch-Fletchley and the Blibbering Humdingers will perform music about the books. For information, call 919-387-2100.

The West Regional Library, 4000 Louis Stephens Drive in Cary, will hold a teen Harry Potter party from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Ages 12 to 18 are welcome. Admission to this event is $5 book bucks through the teen summer reading contest. Costumes are welcomed and encouraged. For details, call 919-463-8500.
