An Apex man was killed in a one-vehicle car crash at 8:25 p.m. on Wednesday.

Thomas Aaron Smith, 24, was on Olive Chapel Road in a 1997 Mazda Miata when the accident occurred. Apex Police Department officers confirmed his death on the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
