Public invited to discuss road construction concerns

With complaints mounting, state transportation officials will hold a public meeting this evening to address concerns about the all-night paving work on the Triangle Expressway.

The meeting will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Green Hope Elementary School and will focus on the work being done between N.C. 55 and Green Level Church Road.

The section of road borders a number of Cary neighborhoods and the noise from the construction work is angering residents.

N.C. Department of Transportation officials and its contractors will provide an update about the paving work and take comments from residents.
