APEX HIGH SCHOOL

The Apex High School Band is holding registration for its 2011-2012 season, as well as the dance team and color guard, through the band website at www.apexhighband.org. For information, email bb_president@apexhighband.org.

Honors Algebra II and Honors Pre-Calculus courses are being offered during the summer at Apex High School for a tuition charge of $360. Classes will be held from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m. July 5 to Aug. 9. Interested students should see their counselor. You do not need to be an Apex High School student to register. Minimum enrollment of 20 must be reached to be able to offer the classes. For information, call 919-387-2215.

LIFELONG LEARNING

PANTHER CREEK HIGH SCHOOL

The Chamber Choir and Women's Choir from Panther Creek High School have been invited to perform at Festival at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Only select choirs, bands, and orchestras are invited to perform during the Festival at Carnegie Hall. Under the direction of Brad Bensen, the ensemble was awarded a Gold rating for a superior performance during the Nashville 2010 Heritage Festival, earning them an invitation to perform at Carnegie Hall in 2011 or 2012.
