New traffic signals installed

The town of Cary and the state department of transportation recently installed flashing yellow signal lights at five intersections along High House Road.

The intersections include Northwest Maynard Road, Cary Parkway, Davis Drive, Carpenter Upchurch Road and N.C. 55.

The flashing yellow arrow signals will help improve safety and signal timing along the High House Road corridor, authorities said.

The state will pay for the direct costs of the project. Town staff is responsible for installation and programming but officials said it would result in no additional cost.
