The Wake County school system is taking its contentious plan to reassign thousands of students to the public at a series of hearings this week.Superintendent Tony Tata released two student assignment models last week that would give parents a choice when it comes to where their children will attend school.
But many questions remain and a timeline for answers is uncertain. The plan could potentially take effect for the 2012-2013 school year.
Parents who want to learn more and comment on the proposals can attend these local public hearings:
6 p.m. Tuesday at Athens Drive High School.
6 p.m. Wednesday at Panther Creek High School.
6 p.m. Thursday at Cary High School.
6 p.m. Thursday at Holly Springs High School.
