APEX MIDDLE SCHOOL

The following students were honored at Apex Middle School for the character trait of good judgment: Joshua Adams, Hasan Asadi, Rita Bardon, Olivia Bartol, Kyle Bergene, Jung Cho, Matthew DiVincenzo, Danielle Do, Preston Fisher, Jack Hayden, Seo Kim, Sheyla Knight, Emily Kron, Destynee' McNeill, Timothy Postel, Amayrani Rojas Morales, Jonathan Seith and Alexandra Settle. Principal Camille Hedrick congratulated these recipients and presented each with an exemplary character pin.

GRACE CHRISTIAN

Grace will offer an open house for prospective families on the first and third Tuesday and Wednesday of each month. Grades kindergarten through sixth will be held at our Raleigh campus at 9:15 a.m. Wednesdays.

HOLLY SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL

The Holly Springs Baccalaureate service for the class of 2011 will be at 4 p.m. June 5 at Hope Community Church, 821 Buck Jones Road, Raleigh.

The interdenominational service is being hosted independently by parents to honor the achievements of graduating seniors.

A reception will follow in the church café. Please RSVP to hshsbaccalaureate2011@yahoo.com. Donation checks can be made to HSHS Baccalaureate/Julie Cox, 4905 Northoak Court, Holly Springs, N.C., 27540.

The fifth annual Holly Springs Golden Hawks Booster Club Golf Tournament will be held June 20 at Devils Ridge Golf Club in Holly Springs. The entry fee of $85 per player includes range balls, green fees, cart fees, lunch and dinner, a gift bag, door prizes, awards and a putting tournament.

The Captain's Choice Scramble Format kicks off at noon with registration, an open driving range and lunch provided by Jimmy John's, Jersey Mike's Subs at Millpond Village and Subway at Walmart. Mulligans will also be sold.

The event concludes with the awards dinner provided by Jack Astor's of Cary at approximately 6 p.m.

The nonprofit Golden Hawks Club's mission is to provide the financial assistance for the Holly Springs High School athletic department and allow student athletes to excel in the classroom and on the playing field.
