Cary

Police arrested Douglas Michael Bergersdon, 45, on suspicions that he intentionally struck another man with a car. Oliver told police that a man followed him as he drove along Cary Parkway on the morning of April 18. When Wesley Daniel Oliver, 16, arrived at his doctor's office, he stepped out of the car to confront his pursuer. Bergersdon allegedly drove his vehicle into Oliver, knocking him to the ground. A medical team transported Oliver to WakeMed Cary Hospital. Bergersdon faces a charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

A man threatened, robbed and beat another man in Cary on Saturday. The suspect displayed a large knife and punched Agustin Eugenio Juan, 35, in the face at 101 Ashton Place. Juan went to WakeMed Cary Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police have not made an arrest in the case.

Forcible-entry burglaries were reported between April 18 and Monday on the 400 block of West Chatham Street; twice on the 100 block of East Chatham Street; and the 2900 block of Southwest Cary Parkway.

Apex

Copper piping was taken from a construction site on Laura Village Drive before 1 p.m. April 5.

A locked storage building was entered on East Williams Street before 6:30 a.m. March 22. A fuel can was taken.

An unsecured vehicle was entered on East Williams Street before 6:30 a.m. March 29. Welding supplies and power cords were taken.

A clerk at was stuck with an unknown object causing serious injury at a business on the 300 block of S. Salem Street at about 5:34 p.m. March 13.

A home was entered on Oakwell Court before 7 p.m. March 19. Beer and wine were taken from an unsecured garage.

Two unsecured vehicles were entered on S. Hughes Street before 7:30 a.m. Feb. 24. A pair of sunglasses and $22 were taken.

Fuquay-Varina

Myatt Landscaping Concepts at 217 Technology Park Lane was entered by climbing a fence between April 8 and 7 a.m. April 11. Three weed eaters, an edger and backpack blower were taken.

Holly Springs

Police charged Paul Griffin, 29, of 1213 New Hill Road, with possession of cocaine with intent to sell and deliver and maintaining a dwelling to keep or sell a controlled substance at about 4 p.m. April 13 at 112 Holly Mountain Road. Officers responded to the address to follow up on an unrelated investigation and the smell of marijuana was present when the resident opened the door.
