The following students were honored for the character trait of perseverance: Laura Clark, Ivan Cruz De Hostos, Caroline Eason, Moriah Grant, Kathryn Hayne, Emily Hernandez-Flores, Sarah Hirst, Nadia Ingram, Jacob Kruger, Zhyme'K Lassiter, Samantha Levers, Adam Mancini, John Nguyen, Kevin Pitino, Alyssa Poth, Daniel Short, Kevin Tunstall and Emma Zwahr. Camille Hedrick, principal of Apex Middle School, presented each with an exemplary character pin.
The Odyssey of the Mind team has earned a place at the World Finals, which will take place at the University of Maryland from May 27-31.
The team will compete in the Division 2 technical problem category "Good As Gold...berg," in which they have created a Rube Goldberg style device that they demonstrate as part of an eight-minute skit. To raise money for the trip, the team is hosting a Spirit Night at the Stone Creek Chick-fil-A on May 9.
Grace will offer open house for prospective families on the first and third Tuesday and Wednesday of each month. Grades kindergarten through sixth will be held at our Raleigh campus at 9:15 a.m. Wednesdays and grades seven through 12 will be held at our Crossroads campus at 9 a.m. Tuesdays. Participating in their inaugural speech competition, all eight members of the Grace public speaking elective course received ratings of "excellent" at the ACSI Speech Meet on March 5. Exchange student Edward Zhao presented a devotional homiletic; senior Tommy Burns completed a Bible reading; senior Melanie Martin presented a dramatic interpretation; freshman Nicky DenBleyker offered a reading from children's literature; and freshman Pearson Wynands, juniors Keerthi Boru, Tanner Bosco and Robert Hauser presented original oratory speeches.

The school's football camp features Panther Creek Head Coach Wayne Bragg, assistant coaches and players. The camp is open to prospects in grades three to eight, including rising freshman in high school. Camp 1 is Saturday, May 7, and Camp 2 is Saturday, July 23. Register by April 29 for Camp 1 and by July 15 for Camp 2.
