Cary

A construction company on March 17 reported the theft of 180 sheets of lumber from a residential construction site on Moneta Lane in Apex.

Police are investigating a rape reported to have occurred on Harlon Drive on the morning of March 18. Officers suspect an acquaintance of the female victim.

A utility trailer was stolen March 23 from a Public Storage facility on Southwest Cary Parkway.

Between March 22 and March 28, home break-ins were reported on the 1600 block of Creekwatch Lane; the 100 block of Palmwood Court; the 400 block of Cary Pines Drive; and the 100 block of Rubin Court.

Apex

Police charged Reginald Monte Hunter, 36, of 430 Timber Lake Meadow Drive, Fuquay-Varina, on March 13 with possession of cocaine and failure to appear. The suspect was stopped for a traffic violation and was found to have an outstanding warrant and in possession of cocaine.

A secured home was entered on Haywards Heath Lane on March 16. A bottle of wine was taken.

Police charged Bradley Jae Christians, 54, of 112 Brittingham Loop, with trafficking heroin, maintaining a dwelling to keep/sell a controlled substance and possession of ecstasy with intent to sell or deliver at about 9 a.m. March 18. Police responded to the suspect's home to assist emergency medial services.

Fuquay-Varina

An unsecured vehicle was entered on Ennis Street at about 7:50 p.m. March 14. A mp3 player was taken.

Counterfeit currency was used to make a purchase at Express Car Audio at 6109 N.C. 55 between 1:55 p.m. and 2 p.m. March 5. Four counterfeit $10 bills and five $20 bills were used.

An armed robbery occurred on Judd Parkway between 12:45 a.m. and 12:55 a.m. March 16. The suspects are said to have pulled a knife and demanded the victim's bag. Cigarettes, a lighter and $6 were taken. The suspects were described as two 15-year-old males.

Holly Springs

Two manhole culverts were burned in woods off of Bonhurst Drive between Jan. 1 and 9 p.m. March 17. The fires are believed to have been arson.

A hit and run was reported on Avent Ferry Road between 7 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. March 12. A side mirror of a silver pickup truck struck a bicyclist. There were no serious injuries.
