Basics of Baking, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays April 7-28, $125
The PTSA will host StreetSafe from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Holly Springs High School, 5329 Cass Holt Road. StreetSafe helps alert teens to the dangers of texting while driving, aggressive driving, the importance of seatbelts and the dangers of alcohol and drug use while driving. Parents can learn the skills they need to manage their young drivers. To register, visit

Cupcakes with Style (spring holiday edition), 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., April 4, $35
Basics of Cooking, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays, April 12 - May 3, $125
Students ages 12 through 18 can apply for Nucor Corporation's "Strength of Steel Challenge." Entrants will work in teams of two to four to create a structure out of recycled steel that can be used to support another object or objects in the home, school or vehicle. The structures must be able to hold at least 5 pounds of weight. The challenge ends May 3, 2011. The winning team will receive the Nucor Future Engineers Champion Award and a $3,000 prize.
