Evelyn Scott Harvey, was born on October 30, 1928 in Arcadia, Florida and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 21, 2010 after a four-week hospitalization in Wake Med Hospital in Cary, North Carolina. Evelyn graduated from Pasco County High School in Florida in 1946, and from Florida State University in 1950 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Phlebotomy. She married Donald M. Harvey in 1952 and they lived and raised their family in Webster, New York. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald and is survived by her children David, Timothy and Laura (Titus), ten grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. We deeply miss her humor, her unflagging devotion to all of us, and her exemplary faithfulness to the Lord that never stopped growing. Her spirit became more gracious and peaceful with each passing year. We have lost a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, but we rejoice that she is now truly at home. “Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord - for we walk by faith, not by sight - we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:6-8.
