Robbie Richards Surprise, formerly of Fayetteville, NC, passed away in Cary, NC, Thursday, January 27th, 2011. Born on February 4th, 1924 in Eufaula, Alabama, she was preceded in death by her son, John Richards, hus-band, Theodore Richards, and husband John Surprise. She is survived by daughters Marion Thompson and Shirley Richards; sons, Ted Richards Jr, Ben Richards, and Dr. Matt Richards, six grandchildren, 4 great-grandsons and two sisters. Robbie was an avid golfer and served as President of the Fayetteville Women’s Golf Association in Fayetteville. She was a remarkable woman and will be missed by all. A memorial service will be held on March 5th, 2011 at 11:00 am at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home located at 200 SE Maynard Road Cary, NC 27511. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Disabled American Veterans.
