ADAMS ELEMENTARY

Students and families from all tracks are invited to Adam's Amazing Race from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25. The event is a chance for students and parents to get to know the school and its staff.

APEX HIGH SCHOOL

APEX MIDDLE

Rising sixth-graders who will attend Apex Middle School are invited to Cougar Camp today (last names A-L) and Friday (last names L-Z) from 8 to 11:30 a.m.

Cougar Camp is a half-day orientation for sixth-grade students.

CHESTERBROOK ACADEMY

Chesterbrook Academy, MacGregor Park, 201 MacKenan Drive, will host a Family Fun Day on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be games, health and safety events, face painting and arts and crafts. The Cary Police Department will host its "Stranger Danger" program and the Cary Fire Department will provide fire-safety demonstrations for children.

GREEN HOPE HIGH SCHOOL

The Senior Car Parade will be Aug. 25. Seniors will meet at the Cary Tennis Center at 7 a.m. Contact PTSA co-chairs Sharon Villafranca at svillafranca@wcpss.net or Margaret Raspopovic at margaretraspopovic@gmail.com for details.

PENNY ROAD ELEMENTARY

Back to School Night will be on Monday. Classroom information sessions will be held at 6:30 p.m. for families with last name beginning with A-L. Sessions start at 7 p.m. for families with last name beginning M-Z. An information fair for parents will also be held from 6 to 8 p.m. for parents to learn more about school and PTA programs, sign up for activities, set up lunch accounts and purchase school-spirit wear.
