Two support groups for area residents experiencing the loss of loved ones through death or divorce have begun. Both groups are open to the public without charge. Grief Support, directed by a professional facilitator, meets at 7 p.m. Mondays. For more information, call 919-362-7807 or e-mail

First United Methodist Church of Cary will host a parenting seminar by John Rosemond, syndicated columnist, on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The cost of the seminar is $25 per couple or $15 per individual. Register at

The Cornell University Chorus, a 50-member female choir will perform at 7:30 p.m. on March 23 at Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church, 200 High Meadow Drive, Cary.
