Just one more game. That's all that separates the Cary Christian girls basketball team from their first-ever state championship.

The Lady Knights are in the NCISAA 2-A championship game for the second straight year after upsetting previously undefeated Carolina Day School on Friday by the 53-42 score. Cary Christian is the 4-seed in this year's tournament.

Last year, as the 1-seed, the Lady Knights fell in the championship game to Fayetteville Academy 60-40.

Coach Carmen Javaux's team will face Victory Christian at 2 p.m. on the court of Forsythe Country Day School for the 2-A title.
