Torrey Bussey won two individual state titles as a junior at Cary, in both the 100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard individual medley. She returns this year with the opportunity to add to her individual titles.

Her time of 1:02.81 in the breastroke broke a NCHSAA state record.

Panther Creek's Henriette Stenkvist also returns after setting a state record in the 200-yard freestyle as a freshman. She also finished second in the 100-yard backstroke.

Green Hope won conference titles in boys and girls competition last year. Although the Falcons lost a few senior girl swimmers, they should be especially tough on the boys' side.

Junior Dominick Glavich leads the way for Green Hope after finishing third in the state in last year's 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard breaststroke.

Holly Springs senior diver Julie Doran crushed the competition in the 1m dive to win a state title last year.
