CARY NEWCOMERS

Cary Newcomers Club meets at 9:45 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at the Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church at 200 High Meadow Drive in Cary, across from the Saltbox Village shopping center.

CARY PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTISTS

The club meets the first and third Thursday of each month at Jordan Hall Arts Center.

The group is accepting entries to its open juried photographic exhibition, which features six cash awards. The entry deadline is Nov. 16.

CARY VETERANS

Join the town of Cary as it honors veterans during this annual luncheon, which will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 6, at the Herb Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave. The luncheon is free for veterans and $8 to all other participants. MOMS CLUB

School options will be the topic of the MOMS Club of Fuquay/Holly Springs meeting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Representatives will speak on homeschooling, magnet and private schools. A local preschool director will also be there to talk about kindergarten preparedness. Mothers from the Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs and Willow Spring areas are invited. MOMS (Moms Offering Moms Support) is an international support group for mothers who stay home with their children, including those who have home-based businesses and those who work part-time but are home with their children during the day. PAF-FINDERS COMPUTER GENEALOGY CLUB

The Cary Mayor's Task Force on Disability meets from 12 to 1 p.m. on every second Wednesday in the Page Walker Arts & History Center at 119 Ambassador Loop.
