Daniel A. Genovesi, 22, of Cary, died Thursday, April 12, 2007.
A native of Selden, N.Y., he was born on July 24, 1984 to Albert and Mary Ellen Genovesi, who survive him.
Also surviving are his sister, Amy Genovesi of Raleigh; maternal grandmother, Mary Pappas of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; maternal grandfather, Dennis Carroll and wife, Pat, of Dayton, Texas; paternal grandmother, Catherine Genovesi of Melbourne, Fla.; his best friend, Peter Menasian; as well as many other beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
His paternal grandfather, Arnold Genovesi, preceded him in death.
Daniel worked for The Fresh Market preparing foods for the deli and serving customers. He was a talented guitarist and songwriter. Those who knew and loved him will never forget his kindness toward others, his love for animals and his generosity and gentle demeanor.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at Raleigh Memorial Park, Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh.
The family received friends on Sunday, April 15, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary and on Monday, April 16, at the funeral home.
