• An Apex man faces drug and weapon charges following an arrest at Motel 6. Reginald Jevvon Hinton, 27, of 5130 Sunset Lake Road, Apex, was arrested at the motel, 1401 Buck Jones Road, just after 4 a.m. Sept. 22. He was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for the sale of drugs and possession of a weapon by a felon. Property reported at the scene included marijuna valued at $300, $720 in cash, digital scales and baggies. Police reported that they had information that led to the arrest but did not provide specifics.

• Someone threw a rock through the front door of a vehicle at Good Car-Ma, 413 W. Chatham St. B, between 1:30 and 1:44 a.m. Sept. 25. It was not known if anything was taken.

• A Cary woman faces drug and larceny charges following an incident at Macy’s, 1105 Walnut St., at about 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23. Loss prevention personnel reported seeing Brandy Nicole Cash, 25, of 104 Silverridge Court, take clothing valued at $268. Incidental to her arrest on that charge, police searched Cash and found marijuana, a gram of crack, five grams of heroin, a crack pipe and plastic straw. It was also determined that she had six outstanding warrants for failure to appear.

• Cars at several inns in Cary had windows broken and items taken from them overnight Sept. 22 and Sept. 23. At Hampton Inn, 201 Ashville Ave., a pistol was taken from a pickup truck. At La Quinta Inn, 191 Crescent Commons, someone took a DVD-ROM, three power cords, tape measure, two baseball gloves, baseball hat, printer and four cameras from three vehicles. At Comfort Suites, 350 Ashville Ave., someone took a marine battery, cell phone, baby stroller, portable satellite dish, two cameras and 48 movie CDs from three vehicles. At Holiday Inn Express, 5630 Dillard Drive, a necklace, laptop computer, two cameras, brief case and $600 in cash were taken from six vehicles. Police seized a blood swab and screwdriver at the scene.

• A stove, washing machine, dryer and refrigerator were taken from a house under construction on Hampshire Downs Drive between 6 p.m. Sept. 21 and 7 a.m. Sept. 22.

• A sport-utility vehicle stolen from Rice Ranch Way Sept. 23 was recovered the same day on Trinity Road.

• Someone attempted to hotwire an unlocked van on Sedgebrook Drive between 9 p.m. Sept. 22 and 6:15 a.m. Sept. 23.

• A white female attempted to pick up a fraudulent prescription for hydrocodone at Kmart, 960 Kildaire Farm Road, at about 7:15 p.m. Sept. 20. She was questioned and released.

• A green 1999 Tomos moped was taken from the edge of a driveway on Glengarry Drive between noon Sept. 17 and 4 p.m. Sept. 20.

• Blue Sky Properties advised Cary police that someone tried to cash a counterfeit check under its name for $60.15 at Suntrust Bank, 2741 N.C. 55, on Aug. 17.

• Cary Police have recently charged the following with driving while impaired: Kevin Everard Starr, 45, of 1008 Vickie Drive, charged at 1002 Vickie Drive at about 1:25 a.m. Sept. 24; Juan Gonzalez, 25, of 306 Bargate Apartment L, charged on Wrenn Drive at about 3 a.m. Sept. 24.
