Monnie Jenks and her longtime friend Frances Lawrence are the “biscuit ladies” of the Apex Lions Club's concessions booth at the N.C. State Fair. Every one of the nearly 10,000 biscuits bought during the fair’s 10-day run is the made-from-scratch product of the women’s capable hands.
