• Someone used a blunt object to break the driver’s side window of a vehicle on Village Greenway between 8:30 p.m. July 31 and 8 a.m. Aug. 1 and took a car radio, amplifier and speaker.

• Someone pried the rear window frame of a construction trailer on Yates Store Road, entered the trailer and took a cordless phone, a toolbox with miscellaneous tools, a cordless charger, a computer and snacks between 5 p.m. July 28 and 7:59 a.m. July 31.

• Cary police are investigating a burglary that occurred at Hair Color Experts, 105 Maynard Crossing Court, between 5 p.m. July 30 and 8:45 a.m. July 31. The alarm had been set July 30, but it was not set when employees arrived the next morning. The manager found the safe open and the deposit bag no longer inside. Money that had been inside was reported missing. It appeared entry was made by unlocking the front door. There is a suspect.

• A John Deere tractor valued at $35,000 and a Harley rake valued at $10,000 were reported taken from Panther Creek High School, 6770 McCrimmon Parkway, sometime between 10 p.m. July 29 and 7:37 a.m. July 31. It is unknown if the vehicles were loaded up or driven away.

• A CD player, amplifier and a woofer were reported taken from a vehicle on Wicklow Drive between 10 p.m. July 30 and 5:30 a.m. July 31. A blunt object was used to break the driver’s-side back window.

• It was reported that $400 was taken from the Daylite Donut Shop between 8 p.m. July 30 and 3:30 a.m. July 31. The back door sometimes does not shut and was not when employees arrived, police reported.

• It appeared that someone attempted to pry open the back door of Salon 329, 329 N. Harrison Ave. 1-F, between 6:30 p.m. July 27 and 4 p.m. July 31.

• A Raleigh man reported that someone had used his debit card at Burger King and Blockbuster locations in Cary Aug. 1 and spent approximately $85.

• A stereo and two soccer balls were reported taken from a vehicle on Bass Court between 2 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 1. A blunt object was used to break out the driver’s-side window.

• Cary Police have recently charged the following with driving while impaired: Jose Francisco Nunez, 40, of 226 York St., charged at about 11:45 a.m. Aug. 3 at 503 E. Chatham St.; Bardomiano Chaves Montes, 38, of 103 Butterwood Court E, charged at about 2:50 a.m. July 30 at 111 E. Chatham St.
