Ometra Rhodes Prince, 78, of Apex died Sunday, June 11, 2006, at WakeMed Cary Hospital.
Mrs. Prince was retired from the N.C. Department of Motor Vehicles.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, in the Chapel of Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. (N.C. 55), Apex. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. (N.C. 55), Apex.
Mrs. Prince is survived by her children, Robert Prince and wife, Phyllis, of Apex; daughters, Linda Wise and husband, Danny, of Apex, and Betty Bertwell and husband, Greg, of Wilmington; brother, Excel Prince and wife, Alma, of Durham; sister, Christine Cash of Durham; sister-in-law, Jean Rhodes of Apex; grandson, J.C. Prince and wife, Carrie, of Apex; great-granddaughter, Gracie Prince; step grandchildren, Michael Wise and wife, Becky, of Erwin, Brandon Wise and wife, Amber, of Dunn, Jennifer Gregory and Julie Gregory, both of Apex.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Beal and Reter Rhodes, and her brother, Thomas Rhodes.
The family wishes to express a particular thank you to Dr. Sunil Desai and Dr. Sharad Vora and to the staff of WakeMed Cary Hospital for the exceptional care they gave to their mother during her illness. Also the family wishes to acknowledge their appreciation to the special friends who cared for and visited their mother.
